Over 12,000 troops of the People's Liberation Army participated in the parade. Chinese Communist Party general secretary Xi Jinping inspected the troops, Premier Li Qiang was the master of ceremonies and Lieutenant-General Han Shengyan [zh] was the chief commander of the parade."
