Accessibility:

Various routes around the reserve, some are wheelchair friendly. A wheelchair and electric buggy are available for use. There are 3 disability spaces near to the entrance. Dog are only allowed in the car park and are not permitted on the nature reserve.  All dogs must be kept on the lead and be cleared up after. Assistance dogs are allowed in the nature reserve and visitor centre, which has a level access.


Brief Description:

The reservoir has up to 40,000 Ducks, Geese and Wildfowl visit every year and is of international importance for these wetland birds. A bird watchers paradise with beautiful views of the reservoir.

Head South out of Colchester on the B1026. The B1026 will take you all the way to your destination, which will be on your left hand side.

There are Picnic facilities, and at the visitor centre there are a Café, Gift shop, Toilets including a disability toilet and baby changing facilities.

Colchester, 6 miles to the North, has many amenities.
