Accessibility:

There are areas of the college that are not accessible for wheelchair users or those with significant mobility disabilities, including the main entrance which involves negotiating two steps. Visitors with disabilities are advised to call the Lodge in advance so that ramps or alternative routes can be organised to ensure ease of access.

Parking facilities are very limited at the college. Blue badge parking is possible on High Street to the East near the Queen's Lane Coffee House or to the west of the bus gate opposite the entrance to King Edward's Street or for up to three hours on the double yellow lines immediately to the East of the loading bay outside the lodge, except when loading restrictions are in force (7.30am to 9.30am and 4.00pm to 6.30pm). When loading restrictions are not in operation Blue Badge parking is possible in the loading bay outside the Lodge to the East of the bus gate.

Parking may also be arranged for visitors with disabilities visitors who need a parking space in the Warden's Drive east of the bus gate or in Radcliffe Square. Again, please contact the Lodge (01865 279379) in advance to reserve a space. Otherwise there are car parks within Oxford city centre. Wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities are available off the Front Quadrangle in the passage by the Bursary and in the Codrington Library. A wheelchair is available for loan.

Oxford city has a Shopmobility service which is accessed from within the car park for the Westgate shopping centre (OX1 1TR). The car park itself has 50 disability parking spaces, which are located close to the lobby area. Scooters and wheelchairs can be hired free of charge from the Shopmobility office, which can be booked over the telephone on 01865 263600 (Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm). Brief Description:

All Souls College is primarily a seat of research and education which has expanded since its foundation in the 15th century to include study in humanities and theoretical sciences.
The buildings cover several periods from Medieval onwards and include the impressive four-storey Gate Tower that faces onto High Street, the Quadrangle - housing Fellows bedrooms and offices - and Chapel that makes up the north side of the Quadrangle.

Directions:

The college is in the centre of Oxford and can be tricky to get to by car. the From M40 J8a take the A40 west towards Oxford for 5 miles. At the roundabout continue straight to take the London Road/A420 for a further 2.5 miles. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit (past the pillared monument in the middle of the road) onto The Plain/A420 (which becomes Madalen Bridge and then High Street) for around 0.5 miles and the Gate Tower can be seen on the right.

There are 6 Park & Ride sites located around Oxford's ring road; Bicester, Oxford Parkway and Pear Tree to the North, Thornhill to the East, Redbridge to the South and Seacourt to the West. The parking and bus into town are charged separately and there are no concessions for Blue Badge drivers. Each Park & Ride also has EV charge points for electric car drivers. The main bus services in Oxford are run by the Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach Oxfordshire and Thames Travel. The services run throughout the city as well as the surrounding villages. Oxford’s main railway station is located on the west side of the city centre with bus stops and taxi ranks just outside. There are no amenities on-site, but there are cafes, coffee shops, public houses, restaurants and shops to cater for any taste within Oxford town centre.
