The entrance to the site can be accessed from the A1; follow the brown tourist signs. There is a car park for 26 cars, 4 of which are disability parking bays. A sloping path runs from the car park up to the base of the sculpture.
Brief description:
The Angel of the North is a steel contemporary sculpture designed by Sir Anthony Gormley. Built in 1998 at a cost of £800,000 and measures 20 meters high from its base with a wingspan of 54 meters. Located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
