Accessibility:

Apart from the upper sphere, which is accessible via a lift, the rest of the Atomium is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Those who may need assistance must be accompanied and the accompanying person (unless a teacher) must pay for their ticket at the main office. The Atomium has steep and narrow escalators and a great number of stairs.

Brief Description:

Built for the 1958 World Fair the Atomium stands at 325ft and is one of the most identifiable structures in Brussels.
