Accessibility:
Parking is close to the site of the castle at the estuary's front, with designated disability spaces. The road in which it is situated is on a steep gradient and there is a short walk uphill to the castle. No toilets within. Brick pavement, which is narrow in places. There are six steps up into tower.
Amenities:Local amenities include, Bryne's Bar and Shop. Ballyhack Harbour and ferry crossing.
Brief Description:Ballyhack is a small village located in the south west of County Wexford on the eastern shore of the Waterford Harbour. Ballyhack castle is located just off the shore line on a steep slope over-looking the estuary. The castle, a large tower house is believed to have been built c. 1450 by the Knights Hospitallers of St John.
