Brief description
"Once a Georgian coaching inn, Baskerville House has changed course a few times over its lifetime. After buying the Baskerville Arms in 2019, we set about an ambitious refurbishment programme and now operate purely as a boutique guest house, with eleven, tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms, a courtesy bar area and offer substantial breakfasts taken around a large eighteen seat table in our dining room.
Should you wish to venture out, this part of the Welsh borders is beautiful and has much to recommend it. Using us as a base, you can walk to Hay on Wye and spend a day ambling round the bookshops, market and shops or explore the newly refurbished Castle Or what about, kayaking, fishing, cycling or pony trekking in wonderful moorland countryside, Offa's Dyke and in the Brecon Beacons park. Stunning Hereford Cathedral and its Mappa Mundi is only a thirty minute drive, as is the beautiful Elan Valley and the majestic Welsh countryside beyond.
There are numerous excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes all around us, either in Hay or within a fifteen minute drive. Booking is essential though and we can happily send you a list of the best places for food and drink including those that are dog friendly of course."
