Accessibility:

FREE: Blue Badge holders disability parking located in Temple Row West and Church Street.

Pay and display on-street parking, also a NCP car park (entrance in Dale Street) is approximately 200m away.

Inside there are three sets of doors leading from the entrance.

There is a staircase from the ground floor to the upper balcony area.

Access to the Altar area is via two steps, there is a portable ramp available on request to access this area.

Guided Tours are conducted on Mondays - 12.30 and Wednesdays - 11.30.

Toilets/disability/baby changing facilities are available within the cathedral.

There is a small shop selling souvenirs.

Outside the cathedral, the park area has level pathways and plenty of seating.

Brief description:

St. Philip's Cathedral Church is a Grade I listed church and was built in the Baroque style by Thomas Archer in the early 1700's and later consecrated in 1715.  It became a cathedral in 1905 and sits in the diocese of Birmingham. The stained glass windows were designed by Birmingham born pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones, and manufactured by William Morris.

From Birmingham Bull Ring and Birmingham Grand Station - from the station entrance/exit take the Lower Temple Street into Temple Row. This is the most direct route and is about a 5 minute walk. There are taxis available outside the station entrance.
