Accessibility:

There is a small car park directly outside the entrance to the centre that is entirely designated as disability parking, this includes five generous spaces with completely level access to the centre. Another larger car park is available across the road from the centre offering a further two or more designated disability spaces. The car park, road and pavement to the centre are all suitable for wheelchair users, with drop kerbs and low-incline ramps. There are full disability facilities on site.

Brief Description:

The Black Mountain Centre is housed in the Old Infant's School in Brynaman at the foot of the Black Mountain. The community centre offers facilities for visitors and business customers including tourist information, home-cooked food, free Internet access, heritage displays, a gallery and conference rooms.

Opening Hours:

Community Centre - Monday to Friday: 9am until 4.30pm

Black Mountain Cafe - Monday to Friday: 9am until 2.30pm (last orders at 2pm);  

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 2:00pm (last orders – 1:45pm)

Directions:

From the end of the M4 take the A483 to Ammanford. At the traffic light-controlled cross roads in Ammanford take the A474 east towards Glanaman. Continue on the A474 through Glanaman and take the left onto the A4069 in Gwaun Cae-Gurwen. Through Lower Brynamman and into Upper Brynamman. At the mini roundabout the centre will be in front of you with the designated disability car park a few yards up the road straight ahead. The larger car park is on the road to the right.
