Brief Description:

Boroughbridge is a small town in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire and close to the River Ure. On the outskirts of the town there is a line of three standing stones called the Devil’s Arrows which originate from the Bronze Age, their name originates from the story that they were thrown to earth by Lucifer in an attack on nearby Aldborough. The Battle of Boroughbridge took place here in 1322.
