Brief description:

Site of the Battle of Bosworth, fought on 22 August 1485 between Richard III (House of York) and Henry Tudor (House of Tudor).  It was the last battle between the two royal households where Richard III was killed defending the English throne.  Bosworth Heritage Centre offers a full history of the battle and how it was lost and won. Visit Leicester Cathedral to see the tomb of Richard III.

Directions:

From Sutton Cheney head south west towards Bosworth Road (0.5 mile apx).  Turn onto Ambion Lane and continue until destination (1.mile apx). Bosworth Heritage Centre is on the left. Bosworth Heritage Centre and Battlefield is well signposted with brown heritage signage.

Opening Times:

Open daily 10.00 am - 4.00 pm. Country Park open daily 7.00 am - 4.00 pm

Admission Charges - Adult  - £8.95, Concession -  £8.00, Child -  £5.75 (3-15 yrs, children under 3 free). Family ticket available. Accompanied Carer - Free
