Brief Description:
Brecon (Aberhonddu in Welsh) used to be known as Brecknock. It is a market town and community in Powys, Mid Wales. Brecon Town nestles in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons and sits at the confluence of three rivers - Usk, Honddu and Tarell. You can wander around the ancient cathedral, take in a show at the theatre, buy fresh local produce at Brecon Farmers Market, take a leisurely stroll or cycle along the canal, enjoy some retail therapy or simply enjoy the variety of historic buildings. Brecon has always been a popular destination offering visitors spectacular scenery and leisure activities.
