Brief description

https://www.hooky.co.uk/our-story/  and  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzOga8mbSXA

"Hook Norton is one of only 32 family owned breweries and is the finest example of a Victorian Tower Brewery in the country. Of course, the brewery is about so much more than just its fantastic range of award winning beers. At the brewery we have a shop, Malthouse Kitchen Cafe, free museum and meeting rooms. We have 36 pubs that are at the heart of many of local communities, serving great drink and food to the region.

We are one of the few breweries that still use shire horses and dray to deliver beer to our local pubs in the traditional way. They can be seen working on the following days, weather permitting:

Every Wednesday delivering to The Sun Inn, Hook Norton at 12 noon.

Every Thursday delivering to The Pear Tree, Hook Norton at 12 noon.

Every Friday delivering to The Gate Hangs High, Hook Norton at 12 noon.

If you would like to see the shire and dray on their regular delivery rounds please call to check that they will be working on that day."

VISITORS CENTRE & TOURS INFORMATION  https://www.hooky.co.uk/visit-us/visitors-centre-tours-info/

Sensible footwear is highly recommended. Regrettably, the Brewery Tour itself is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or children under the age of 12 (this includes babes in arms) as there are many steep stairs to negotiate; the Visitor Centre, Brewery Shop and Museum, however, are easily accessible for both.  Please note, the Brewery is a nut free and no smoking site.

School educational parties are very welcome as are other groups or clubs. Please contact us on 01608 730384 or email vc@hooky.co.uk to discuss your requirements."
