"We want everyone to be able to enjoy visiting Bridport Museum with ease and comfort. Our amazing displays are housed within an old building- but we have done our best to modernise amenities and include the special accessibility features outlined below.

Getting in

The main entrances to both the Museum and Local History Centre are easy level access for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Please call us on 01308 458703 to arrange accessible parking.

Relax

Ask for a folding chair at reception if you fancy a sit down during your visit.

Working Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at the Museum. Our staff will be happy to provide drinking water for your dog.

Wheelchair access on site

There is level access on each floor with ample space to manoeuvre between displays. There are no doors between galleries to open.

There is an accessible lift to the first floor.

The Local History Centre is all at ground floor level, and can be accessed from the rear of the building, following the signs.

Accessible toilet

There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor of both the Museum and Local History Centre.

Babies

We love babies- they are very welcome! There are baby changing facilities in the accessible toilet, and space to park buggies so you can wander round the Museum without them if you wish."
