"All the ground floor is level and there is lift access to first-floor family bedrooms (but visitors need to negotiate steps to reach the servants’ bedrooms). The original Victorian lift makes the first floor accessible, but can only take one wheelchair at a time due to weight restrictions. There is ramped access into the shop and tearoom. The terrace and formal gardens are accessed on tarmac paths, but the Quarry gardens have self-binding gravel paths. Manual wheelchair users are advised to bring an assistant. Vistors are welcome to come into the Brodsworth Hall using small light weight electric mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs. Smaller, lighter weight mobility scooters/electric wheelchairs can be accommodated at Brodsworth and should be driven slowly and considerately. Larger, very heavy mobility scooters are not permitted to take a tour of the hall due to the narrow spaces of the rooms and corridors. If your scooter is deemed unsuitable for the visitor route, a manual wheelchair will be available to use."

Brief description

Brodsworth Hall is something special – a country house conserved as it was found after the death of its last owner in 1988. Along with restored gardens full of surprises and family-friendly features, it offers a grand Yorkshire day out.

There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy at Brodsworth. Kids will love exploring the gardens and the outdoor play area, and the hall’s history is brought to life by changing exhibitions and friendly volunteer room stewards. There’s also a welcoming tearoom in the servants’ wing.
