Brief description

"Brougham Hall, just a mile south of Penrith, Cumbria, was built in the 14th century and has a fascinating history. Rescued from dereliction in 1985, today it is one of the largest country house restoration projects in England and is home to an array of arts and craft workshops and businesses.  You'll find the Hall open from dawn until dusk BUT the workshops open from around 10am, closing around 5pm.

Dogs and cyclists are most welcome.

Brougham Hall hosts regular events and makes for a perfect location for weddings and private or corporate events.  Private tours are available on request. Please contact us if you would like to hire the grounds.

Your support is very much appreciated and, as a registered charity, we rely on donations to maintain our ongoing restoration and upkeep. Please consider making a donation when you visit, or by post or PayPal, now available on our 'Donate' page."
