"Most of our show gardens are on one level with step-free access. Pathways are mainly compacted gravel, tarmac or stone and are suitable for mobility scooters and wheelchair users. On wet days, some grass and earth paths may be unsuitable for mobility equipment. There are accessible toilet facilities across the estate. One carer is admitted free of charge with each visitor whose disability necessitates a carer.
You can loan wheelchairs and mobility scooters for your visit. As we are a charity, we kindly request a £5 donation to use our mobility scooters. This helps us maintain and service the scooters for our visitors to continue using. Please let us know in advance if you wish to reserve one in order to avoid disappointment."

Brief description
"Capel Manor boasts a rich history that dates back to the late 13th century. The estate has seen many changes over the years, before becoming home to Capel Manor College and Gardens. With over 40 colourful gardens across our 30-acre-estate, there is plenty to see and do. You can explore our grounds throughout the year enjoying the beauty and colour that each season offers. During your visit to the Gardens, you can meet Capel Manor’s collection of exotic and domestic animals. Our mini zoo is used primarily as part of our students learning, however a wide selection is also open to the public. Over 75 species of animals call our zoo home including: lionhead rabbits, barn owls, ring-tailed lemurs, meerkats, Scottish wildcats, wallabies and much more! Pop into our gift shop and browse beautiful collections of houseplants, outdoor plants, gardening tools, books, stationery, and our assorted selection of eclectic gifts and homeware."
