Accessibility:

Cardiff airport has a variety of car parking options; a short stay car park, a long stay car park and a free drop-off area located directly outside the main airport terminal building. There are dedicated disability spaces throughout all of the car parks with easy access to the terminal. The car parks also have ‘special assistance’ shelters where you can communicate directly with the assistance desk within the airport via an intercom.

Courtesy shuttle buses run between the terminal and all car parks, as well as a minibus service which offers easier transportation for scooters and wheelchairs, however, these need to be pre-booked on 01446 729329.

The airport terminal has low-level kerbs at the entrance and is flat throughout. There are lifts between each floor as well as specially designed toilets and adult changing facilities on the first floor, with further toilet facilities throughout the terminal.

You can fly from Cardiff with your own mobility equipment and can take your wheelchair or scooter right up to the departure gate; it will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your destination.

Further details can be found on the airport’s website: https://www.cardiff-airport.com/special-assistance/
