The castle is a seven minute walk from the car park on a tarmacked footpath.

Access to the castle is over a cobbled footpath and paths within the castle are steep with steps.

"Booking is for entry to the castle and does not guarantee a parking place in the NT car park. Please try to use the NT car park (pay and display) at Castle View if visiting the castle. Alternative parking is available nearby in the village if this is not possible.

The castle, tea-room and toilets are open. We are sorry but the shop is still closed.

Our tea-room has reopened and will initially be serving a limited range of takeaway hot and cold drinks and some light snacks. Go to Eating and shopping for more information.
