Accessibility:

Generally accessibility is very limited with no adequate space to park on the road or in the church grounds. The entrance to the church is through a wooden gate and along a sloping, uneven grassy path unsuitable for wheelchair use. No public disability toilets are available in the local area.

Brief Description:

A 13th century grade II listed building with a distinctive battlemented tower featuring unusual stone steps leading up the outside of the tower wall.

Directions:

From the M5 and Taunton take the A358 towards the north west. At the junction of the B3224 turn west sign posted for ‘Monksilver’ and ‘Exford’. Follow the road west until reaching the crossroads and sign posted for: ‘ B3188 Elmsworthy, Watchet and Minehead’. Turn north towards Elsworthy. On reaching the approach to the church take the turn north west onto Elworthy Lane. The church will become visible directly ahead.

Amenities:

Elworthy lies between nearby towns of Minehead in the north west and Taunton in the south west. There are a small number of pubs that can be found on route in either direction selling refreshments and hot food. Taunton has a pedestrian shopping street, cafés, restaurants, pubs and attractions. Minehead has a Butlin’s holiday resort, a busy shopping area, pubs, banks, cafés and restaurants.
