"Built in the 1930s to accommodate the rapidly expanding population of Cardiff the design by Thomas Roderick of Aberdare is Neo-Byzantine taking inspiration from the monastery church at Mirfield as well as churches in Ravenna.
The red brick exterior conceals a vast and surprisingly light interior.
Enthusiasts for 20th-century art will find stunning stained glass windows by Francis Spear and other artists, as well as Stations of the Cross by renowned ceramic artist Michael Flynn.
