Limited on-street parking, a narrow lane leads to the church.

Brief Description

"St Laurence's Church is a Grade I listed building dating from the early 1100s (c.1142) and further restoration carried out in the 19th century.

The Chancel Arch, Nave, stone polygonal pulpit (rare), trefoiled piscina and stone sedilia (seats) date from the early 14th century.

Above the chancel arch and surrounding nave walls, there are fine examples of medieval wall paintings showing several biblical scenes (c.1440).

The stained-glass windows date from the 15th century.

Opening Times

2023: "The church building is open from between 9 -10am and until 5pm (or dusk if this is earlier). Visitors are very welcome but please note we have regular services of worship on Sundays and Wednesday mornings. There may also be funeral, baptism or wedding services taking place at other times."
