Brief description

July 2020: "On April 29th 2015 Clandon Park, including the Surrey Infantry Museum, was destroyed by fire. The National Trust which owns the property has closed the site to the public whilst restoration work is carried out. The administration of the Museum has moved to the Surrey History Centre in Woking.

Follow our progress on one of the UK’s biggest heritage projects as we remake a remarkable ruin."

"Sharing our progress since the fire has been really important to us. You can visit Clandon Park from April to November. Follow two purpose-built walkways into the ground floor, including the spectacular Marble Hall, and the basement spaces, giving you a unique view of the incredible structure. The small four-acre garden is also accessible. Visiting now presents a unique opportunity to see this remarkable contemporary ruin in its post-fire state, before access becomes more limited."
