Dog-friendly beaches at Combe Martin

Combe Martin has two beaches; the main harbour beach is sandy and stony and Newberry beach is stony. Both beaches have excellent rock pools. Dogs are allowed on the main beach between 1st October to 30th April and are not allowed on the main beach between 1st May and 30th September. Newberry beach is dog-friendly all year and is a short walk along the pavement from the village. At low tide the two beaches join onto a wide sandy beach, below the weir."

Brief description

2025-

"Combe Martin is a resort on the North Devon coast situated in a sheltered valley on the western fringe of the Exmoor National Park. The village is located close to some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the area, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). There are spectacular views across the bay to dramatic headlands beyond and the small, peaceful cove has changed little over the years. Boats are still moored in the harbour, although there are more pleasure craft than fishing boats these days."
