There is a small layby located near the Obelisk for one car.

Please note: The War Memorial Obelisk is located at Knighton Hill Road and the B4507 junction.  The road is very narrow in places.

Please be aware that farm traffic uses both roads.

The War Memorial Obelisk is located on a grassy mound.

There is a grassy bank leading from the road to the War Memorial.

Brief description

Compton Beauchamp and Knighton War Memorial is dedicated to those men who served in the First World War (1914-1918).

The carved stone square obelisk has the following inscription:

"The (?) For the Parish of/ Compton Beauchamp/ and Knighton Berks/ Served their Country/ In the years MCMXIV - MCMXIX (1914-1919)."

The Memorial gives the names of those who served during the First World War.
