Accessibility:
Wheelchair users are restricted to the visitors centre because the concrete path up to the castle is very steep with many steps, all dogs on leads welcome. On-street parking available near visitors centre.
Brief Description:The foundations of this castle are believed to have been laid in the 13th century, although it has changed hands so many times through out history that it is hard to date the castle as a whole, its best feature is the double towers on the gatehouse that are well preserved.

Directions:
5 miles W of Porthmadog via the A497 and Castle Street, castle easy to see as its the highest point. OS SH 500 377.
Opening Times:
Open April-October 10am-5pm. Adult - £3.50. Family 2 adults all kids under 16 - £10.50 . Senior citizens, students and children under 16 - £2.65. Disabled person and companion - Free.
