There is no general parking allowed on The Quay.

There are 5 Accessible parking bays alongside the Café on The Quay, at the bottom of Quay Hill, which are available for general use.

The Quay surface is comprised of cobble stones and is uneven.

Directions

Leave the M5 at Junction 30 and take the Sidmouth Road towards Middlemoor.

Remain on the Sidmouth Road until a roundabout where join the B3183 towards the City Centre.

Remain on this road until you reach a big roundabout in the City centre, where take the first exit onto Western Way and stay on this road as it joins Magdalen Street and then keep right twice and then left at the multiple sets of traffic lights at the junction of the A3015 join the A3015, Western Way.

After a little while turn left onto Lower Coombe Street, following the Brown Signage for Cathedral and Quay Car Park and follow the road around to the left into the car park.

Quay Hill is off to the right and is access to The Quay.

Follow the footpath at the far end of the car park, which is very steep, towards The Quay and the Centre can be found on the right hand side.

"Exeter Custom House is at the heart of the relaxed Quayside and Canal area and our outdoor venue, The Transit Shed, is just over the road. We encourage accessing the area by foot, bike or public transport."

"Summer Hours – 10am – 5pm every day (April – October).

Winter Hours – 11-4, Thursday – Sunday (November – March).

Admission to the building is free of charge, except for certain ticketed events – check the events page to find out more.

Please note, last admission to the building is 30 minutes
before closing time. Occasionally some parts of the heritage display may be closed due a private event."
