There are no car parks in the village and on-street parking is limited due to its location, primarily on the main A483 and narrow country lanes. There is a pavement that runs along one side of the road in the area around the bus stops/chapel.  There is no parking at the railway station.

Cynghordy is a small, rural settlement in the community of Llanfair-ar-y-bryn in Carmarthenshire on the A483 northeast of Llandovery. The village is served by the Cynghordy railway station, which is a stop on the Heart of Wales Line.
