Accessibility:

There is an on-site car park. There is an auditorium level entrance at the back of the theatre (Please inform a staff member if you wish to use this entrance). There is a designated seating area for wheelchair users in the back row of the auditorium on the ground floor. There is also a fire exit with push-button activation leading to a refuge area. The theatre is wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. There are public toilets including wheelchair accessible facilities. The bar has a low section so that wheelchair users can be served more comfortably.

Brief Description:

The Dearne Playhouse was originally built in 1924 as a Welfare Hall. It underwent renovation and was reopened as a theatre in July 2006 by Actor Brian Blessed, who hails from Dearne. It hosts shows, comedy, concerts, musicals, theatre productions and plays.
