Accessibility:

Free parking is available in the car park on Windmill Lane. Blue badge disability parking is available in the mill yard, accessed via Belvoir Hill. Visitors with with restricted mobility can avoid the few steps to the windmill by arranging to park in the mill yard. (please call 0115 9156878 in advance to pre-arrange). The Science Centre and the ground floor of the windmill are wheelchair accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. There are wheelchair accessible toilets.


Brief Description:

Green’s Mill is a working tower windmill in Nottingham. It was built in 1807 and restored in 1985. The windmill was owned and operated by George Green, Mathematical Physicist 1793 - 1841. His mathematics, Green’s Function and Green’s Theorem, are used by scientists all over the world. Next to the mill is the Science Centre, which is dedicated to George Green and his achievements.

From Stanton-on-the-Wolds via Melton Rd/A606 (9.9m). Head north east on Browns Lane. Continue on Melton Rd/A606. Take A52 to Meadow Lane/A6011 in Nottingham. Continue on Meadow Lane/A6011. Take Manvers St/A612 to Windmill Lane.
