Accessibility:

There is parking available on the roads surrounding the church. There is also a car park attached to the Ministry Centre opposite the church.There is level access from the Sands (the road leading to Ministry Centre which runs alongside the church) to the main South door. There is ramped access into the church and it is wheelchair-accessible within, but there is no ramp to access the chancel area. There currently isn't a disability toilet in the church however there is one in the Ministry Centre and baby-changing facilities. Large print service books are available. Interpretive sign language is sometimes used.  

It is possible to park on the Sands (depending on availability - it can get very busy at school drop off and pick up times) and there are disability parking spaces at the Ministry Centre which are approximately 100 yards/metres away        


Brief Description:

A 19th Century Church in the style of decorated Gothic. It has a tower with eight bells, stained glass, a pipe organ, finely carved pulpit and bench ends.

Opening Hours & Services:


Church is open routinely for services on Sundays (8.15am, 10.45am and 6.30pm (subject to seasonal changes)).  It can also be opened when the Ministry Centre is open Mondays (9am-1pm), Tuesday- Fridays (9am-4pm). If you phone ahead 01695 424530 the church can ensure that someone is available to open it. 


Directions:

Travelling from Wigan (13.1 miles). Take A577, M58 and A570 westbound to Scarth Hill Lane in Lancashire. Follow Scarth Hill Lane to Long Lane in Aughton.


From Southport (9.5 miles). Take A565, New Cut Lane, Gregory Lane, North Moor Land and Asmall Lane, to Cottage Lane. At the roundabout take the 1st exit and stay on Cottage Lane. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto Holborn Hill/A59. Turn left onto Long Lane.
