Accessibility:

There is an NCP car park opposite The Cross Keys Pub. This tour is approximately 1.5 miles long, taking approx. 2 ½ hours. There is lot of walking, with stops for commentary. As Nottingham is quite hilly wheelchair and pushchair users may require some assistance. Part of the tour is into caves so there will be some narrow and difficult steps to negotiate, however as the caves are under a pub you could wait in the pub while the tour is in the caves.

Robin Hood was a heroic outlaw from English folklore who robbed from the rich to give to the poor. The Legend of Robin Hood is world renowned with some thinking he was real and others thinking it is all just a story. Follow a trail of historical facts around Nottingham and discover the truth of this story. While on the tour you will learn all about the legend of Robin Hood and also about the town’s history and culture. You can arrange shorter bespoke tours by contacting them in advance.

From Hucknall via A611 (7.3m). Take Beardall St to Portland Rd. Take Nottingham Rd, A611, and Huntingdon St to Hollowstone in Nottingham. Take High Pavement to Weekday Cross.

 

From Stanton-on-the-Wolds via Melton Rd/A606 (10.1m). Head north east on Browns Lane. Follow Melton Rd/A606 and A52 to Queens Drive/A453 in Nottingham. Take the A453 exit from Clifton Blvd/A52. Continue on Queens Drive/A453. Take Wilford Rd to Weekday Cross.
