Accessibility:

There are several car parks in Saltaire Village, and parking at Salts Mill is free. The streets of Saltaire are not very wheelchair friendly – the Village site rises, steeply in parts, from the river and canal. Some of the streets are cobbled and some of the pavements/sidewalks are uneven. Public toilets are available at the Victoria Road/Caroline Street Car Park, Roberts Park and Salts Mill.


Brief Description:

Saltaire Village is near Bradford, it is named after Sir Titus Salt who built Salts Mill, a textile mill. It is a World Heritage Site. Salts Mill is open to the public.

Directions:

From Bingley via A650 (2.5m). Get on A650 from Ferncliffe Road. Follow A650 to Dallam Road in Shipley. Continue on Dallam Road. Take Albert Avenue to Albert Terrace.

 

From Shipley via Saltaire Road.A657 (1.0m). Take Salts Mill Road and Victoria Street to Saltaire Road/A657. Turn right onto Saltaire Road/A657. Take Caroline Street to Edward Street.
