Accessibility:

There is no dedicated parking for the chapel, however there is parking available on the roadside. As the chapel is located on an upper floor of the south side of the castle via a flight of stairs, it is not wheelchair accessible, and may not be accessible for people with low mobility.

Brief Description:

The chapel is attached to Snape Castle and both were built in the early 15th Century. The chapel was renovated in 1720 and then by the late 18th Century it fell into disuse and was used as a grain store, but was restored in 1874. The castle and the chapel were once owned by Richard III, and was also the home of Katherine Parr before her marriage to Henry VIII. The castle itself is a private residence and not accessible to the public, however the chapel is still used for regular services.
