Brief Description:

South Cliff Wesleyan Methodist Church was built in 1886. It underwent some additions and modernisation in 1916 and 1926. It has stained glass windows showing the influence of William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones.

Directions:

From Whitby via A171 (20.1m). Head north on New Quay Rd toward Baxtergate. Turn right onto Bridge St. Bridge St turns right and becomes Church St. Continue onto Spital Bridge. Turn left onto Helredale Rd/A171 and continue to follow for 15.1 miles. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Coastal Road/A165. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Columbus Ravine/A165, continue to follow for 1.6 miles. Destination will be on the left.


From Bridlington via A165 (16.1m). Follow A1038 to Scarborough Road/A165. Drive to Filey Rd/A165 in Scarborough.
