Brief Description:
The chancel of St Lamberts church was built in 1395, the tower in 1410 and the nave 1450 – 1550. It is a Grade I Listed Building which features medieval stonework, oak pews from the 17th Century and Victorian stained glass windows. A former vicar at the church, Reverend John Hartley, was an early winner of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Men’s Singles championship and he is buried in the graveyard here.
