Brief Description:

St Mary Madgalene Church was built in the 12th Century. It was originally the chapel of a castle which used to stand on this site with the church being all that remains, however the moat is still visible. (Google Maps refer to this church as St Mark’s, but it is St Mary’s).

From Grantham via A1 (23.5m). Get on A1 from Harlaxton Road/A607. Follow A1 to B1081 in Rutland for 17.7 miles. Take the B1081 exit from A1. Follow Ryhall Road and A6121 to Bourne Road.


From Peterborough via A15 (16.3m). Take A15, Stamford Road/A1175 and King Street to Bourne Road in Rutland for 16.2 miles. Drive to Bourne Road.
