Accessibility:

There is free on-site parking including designated blue badge parking bays. The visitor centre is fully wheelchair accessible. If you require specific assistance please contact them before your visit and they will be happy to help you. Assistance dogs are welcome.


Brief Description:

Wensleydale Creamery first opened in 1897. In May 1992 it was closed, but was reopened six months later following a management buyout. It creates the famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese using local milk, along with other cheeses, yoghurts and butter. It is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

From Kendal via A684 (27m). Continue to New Road/A6/A65. Follow A684 to Gayle Lane in Hawes for 26.7 miles. Continue on Gayle Lane to your destination.

 

From Darlington via A684 (41.8m). Take Coniscliffe Road and West Street to Grange Road/A167. Take A1(M). A1, A6108 and A684 to Gayle Lane in Hawes for 41.5 miles. Continue on Gayle Lane to your destination.
