Accessibility:

Disability parking is available at the zoo with flat ground close to the main entrance. Fully accessible toilets situated in four areas of the park, and listed on the park map. All areas are completely wheelchair accessible with flat surfaces and ramps. Manual wheelchairs are available to hire for a £20 refundable deposit. Call ahead on 01323 874100 to make a reservation. There is low level viewing at the enclosures enabling everyone to see. Hearing induction loops fitted at all four admission gates.

Brief Description:

Drusillas zoo is regarded as one of the best small zoo's in the country. It is a family run business, originally opened in 1922. Home to an array of endangered and rare animals, and set in 20 acres of land. It offers a learning experience for the whole family, as well as activities for all and fun fair.

Directions:

Situated 4.5 miles from Polegate. Head N/W on B2247. At roundabout take 1st exit onto A27. Continue along this road, turning right onto Lewes Road(still A27). After approximately 3 miles take 1st exit at roundabout onto Alfriston Road. This will lead to the zoo.

Nearest train station is Berwick, although Polegate is also close and has a taxi rank situated outside. Easily accessible via car with free parking.
