There is free car parking but access to the castle is difficult for wheelchair users as it is located at the top of a steep slope with narrow paths.
Brief description
The remains of an Anglo - Norman castle built in the 12th century on top of a hill overlooking Dundrum Bay with splendid views of Newcastle and the Mourne mountains. The adjacent woods are owned by the National Trust.

Grounds open all year round. Castle Keep and Visitor Centre: Sunday 12.00 - 16.00 Tuesday - Friday 9.00 - 17.00 (last access to Keep 16.30)
