Brief Description:

Eglwys Dewi Sant is a Welsh language church in Cardiff. It was originally consecrated in 1863 as St Andrew's Church and re-consecrated as Eglwys Dewi Sant after the former Welsh church in Howard Gardens was destroyed during WWII.

The early English Gothic-styled church is constructed from multi-coloured stone rubble with bands of bathstone ashlar and a slate roof. The interior walls are now colour-washed and the roof has a scissor-braced effect. The nave arcade has Romanesque foliage capitals on low columns with superarches, which rise to enclose clerestory windows.
