HOUSE TOURS:

The tour we offer on Sundays and Thursdays takes place on the ground floor of the house. There are some steps and uneven floors however we have ramps which staff can put in place to make the tour accessible to wheelchair users.

Private View: Talk and Tours are not fully accessible to all as some sections take place on the first floor which is accessed by stairs. Please call if you wish to discuss options.

"The exterior of Farleys House gives no hint of the visual excitements to be discovered within. You will find brightly coloured walls, rambling corridors and generously proportioned oddly asymmetric rooms filled with a remarkable and eclectic collection of artworks, all of which provides the visitor with a glimpse into the remarkable lives of its former occupants Lee Miller and Roland Penrose.

FARLEYS SCULPTURE GARDEN: Farleys Sculpture Garden was designed by Roland Penrose. The garden surrounds Farleys House and is the perfect place to relax, picnic, explore the sculpture collection and enjoy views of the South Downs.

Farleys Sculpture Garden is open on Sundays and Thursdays, 10am – 4.30pm April – October. PRE-BOOK TICKETS

"Farleys House & Gallery are located in the hamlet of Muddles Green near Chiddingly which is just off the A22 between Uckfield and Hailsham in East Sussex.

BY ROAD:

Leave the A22 by the BP garage at Golden Cross and travel just under a mile until you reach a T junction. Turn right here towards Horsham, Hailsham and Heathfield and you will find Farleys located on the right-hand side. There is a free car park at Farleys for visitors.
For electric car users Farleys has a pod POINT charger on site.

BY BIKE:

The area around Farleys is popular with cyclists and we are close to some excellent cycle routes. If you are passing on a Sunday or Thursday between April and October do call in. We have a bicycle rack, pump and repair kit."

Transport

"Farleys is not currently easily accessed by public transport. Buses to the area are very limited particularly on Sundays. This travel site can be useful for planning your journeys in the area.

There are regular trains to Lewes from London and towns and cities in Sussex. Taxis are available at Lewes station and the journey to Farleys takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately £25 each way."
