Accessibility

  • Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the property, including within the mansion, tearoom and shop. 
  • Given the rural setting of Florence Court, there are some inclines on paths around the property. Maps of the grounds are available for all visitors, which highlight paths which are suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs. There is a powered mobility vehicle available to hire free of charge from the visitor centre which can be used to go around the gardens and some of the estate.
  • A wheelchair is also available for visitors to use in the house. Access to the ground floor of the house is suitable for all users, with ramps to facilitate wheelchair access, however there are numerous stairs within the house, to upper and basement levels.
  • Braille guides are available for house tours.
  • There are two accessible toilets, complete with emergency cord pulls. One accessible toilet is located in main visitor centre, and another in the toilet facilities within tearoom complex. 

Brief description

A country estate and mansion house located approximately 10 miles outside of the county town of Enniskillen. 250 acres of parkland, and a wider forest park, Florence Court retains many of its original features including a sawmill, ice house, forge and carpenter’s shop.

Directions

By road 8 miles south-west of Enniskillen via A4 Sligo road and A32 Swanlinbar road, 4 miles from Marble Arch Caves.  Parking: Entrance to the estate is via Grand Gates on Mill Road with exit via Forest Park onto the Marble Arch Road. Parking only available at Car Park 1 which is adjacent to the Visitor Centre.
