Accessibility:

Designated disability parking bays are available in the car park on ‘New Road’ (IP13 9HW) and on some of the town’s roads. Blue badge parking is available outside Barclays bank on ‘Market Hill’ which also has ramped access into the bank through disability access doors.

Brief Description:

An ancient town mentioned in the Doomsday Book and originally a collection of several manors. Its castle was built between the late 12th and early 13th centuries and is a featured visitor attraction.

Directions:

Framlingham is near to the Suffolk coast and lies between Norwich and Ipswich. From Ipswich travel north on the A14 and at the junction continue north on the A140. Traveling through ‘Earl Stonham’ take the road east at the junction into the A1120 ‘Stowmarket Road’. Follow the road north east into ‘Saxtead Green’. At the junction turn east along the B1119 and into the centre of Framlingham.
