Accessibility:

Level access to the main front entrance. Four parking bays are available for blue badge holders. Inside the museum, there are both stairs and lifts providing access to all floors. All lifts have voice and braille indicators. One wheelchair is available for visitor use. Interactible displays are placed in a manner easily accessible to wheelchair users. Accessible toilets are available on the ground, first and second floors. Assistance dogs welcome.

Directions:

From the A167(M), at the roundabout in Newcastle upon Tyne, turn off north-west onto Pilgrim Street. Follow the road north and turn to face west once you hit the end of the road - St Mary's Pl. Follow the road northwards and turn off west onto Claremond Road. The Museum should be accessible to your right from this road.
