Brief description
"This church, dedicated to St Nicholas, was built in 1870 by Greek shipping merchants and consecrated in 1871. The four domes are typical of Eastern Greek Orthodox churches; it is an extended replica of the Church of St. Theodores in Constantinople. The church has prospered and declined along with the Greek community in Liverpool. Since the 1960s, with more Greek immigrants, the church has again flourished."
