Brief description
A historic, Grade I-listed Castle and Grade II-listed Gardens. Hampton Court Castle, Herefordshire, dates back to the early 15th Century and pre-dates Hampton Court Palace in London. The beautiful, formal Gardens date back to the 18th Century and include a formal, Dutch-style garden, a maze, walled Victorian kitchen garden, a rose garden, a waterfall, a sunken garden including a waterwall and lovely, riverside walks within the Castle Park. There is a fine Wisteria archway walk which is over 150 years' old and a lovely pleached lime trees' walkway.
Guided tours may be available ( please enquire prior to planning to visit).

Hampton Court Castle, Herefordshire, is located just off the A417, close to the junction with the A49 between Hereford and Leominster.
Approximately 9 miles north of Hereford; 4 miles south of Leominster.
On arrival, enter through the main gate and follow the route round to the right into the car parking area which is clearly signposted.

By Bus: ' Lugg Valley Primrose' Bus Service no. 492 ( Hereford - Leominster) via Hope-under-Dinmore village. Operates several buses daily. .
- From Hereford (Railway Station) via Hereford Bus Station to Hope-under-Dinmore (Church) - 26 minutes' journey .
- From Leominster (Bus Station) to Hope-under-Dinmore Church - 8 minutes' journey.
From the bus stop at Hope-under-Dinsmore Church , it is approximately 0.9 miles/1.5 kms to Hampton Court Castle.
Alternatively it maybe more practicable to take a taxi from Hereford or Leominster directly to Hampton Court Castle.
By Rail: Nearest railway stations:
- Leominster Station: Step free access to Platform 1 (to Shrewsbury). Access to Platform 2 (to Hereford) is via a footbridge with lifts. No platform staff available. There are no refreshments, wheelchairs for loan or toilets available at this station and no baby-changing facilities.
- Hereford Station: Step free access through the ticket hall to Platform 3 and 4. A footbridge lift connects Platforms 1 and 2. Station advises that the platforms at this station have a gentle slope. Please apply brakes to pushchairs and wheelchairs when waiting on the platform for a train. Wheelchairs and a portable ramp available. Refreshment facilities and toilets including Disabled toilet accessible by National - Radar scheme key are available. Baby- Changing facilities available.

- Orangery Cafe - which serves light lunches, afternoon teas, hot and cold drinks and ice creams. Wherever possible the cafe uses locally sourced ingredients, including from the Castle's own kitchen garden. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. Ramped access to the cafe.
