Brief description
A large well preserved Elizabethan house set within an extensive country park in Derbyshire, Hardwick Hall was first built and devised by four-times married "Bess of Hardwick", one of the most influential and richest women in 16th century England. The Hall is renowned for its large glass windows and fine tapestries. The earlier Hall is nearby the main Hall.
