Accessibility:

There is disabled access to the Museum on the venue site.

Brief description:

12th Century Castle established by Gilbert de Clare, the Earl of Pembroke.

Now owned and maintained by Pembrokeshire County Council. 

There is no access to the ramparts but the Town Museum is incorporated within the outer keep and there is access to a grassy terrace outside of the walls.

Directions:

Take A40 towards Haverfordwest.

At Salutation Square Roundabout turn Left onto A4076.

At next roundabout, Bridgend Square, join A487 for 1/3 mile before turning Left onto Church Street and then onto Castle Street.

April 2023: "The museum is managed by the Haverfordwest Museum Trust and you can view details on their website.  We have been advised that they are closed and awaiting relocation to new premises.  Construction of the new Flagship Heritage Attraction is due to be start on the site of their current premises, hence the closure."
