"Heaton Lodge Junction owner Simon George has launched a fundraising campaign to complete the second phase of the expansive ‘O’ gauge layout. Heaton Lodge Junction is a 200ft long ‘O’ gauge layout set in the BR blue diesel era. Phase one of the layout took Simon six years to complete on his own. He now aims to complete phase two, which will comprise a power station, Blue Circle cement factory, Toton depot and more in 18-20 months.

The second phase is anticipated to cost £100,000 to build. The layout will also be shifting to a more current theme. Donations of £25 (minimum) or more will receive two free tickets to view the layout at any of its touring locations and a behind the scenes tour. Donations of £100 will get unlimited visits for two and a behind the scenes tour.
